Overview

The client is a leading online real estate platform that offers a comprehensive and transparent service for buyers, sellers, renters, and agents. The client wanted to create a mobile app that would provide a convenient and efficient way for users to find and manage their properties.

Challenge

The main challenge was to design a user-friendly and reliable mobile app that would allow users to search, compare, and contact properties online with ease and confidence. The app also had to showcase the client’s unique value proposition, such as verified listings, professional photos, virtual tours, market insights, and personalized support.

Process

The process involved the following steps:

  • User research: Conducted interviews, surveys, and competitor analysis to understand the user needs, pain points, preferences, and behaviors.
  • User personas: Created user personas based on the research findings to represent the target users and their goals.
  • User journey mapping: Created user journey maps to illustrate the user flows and touchpoints across the app.
  • Information architecture: Defined the information structure and navigation of the app using sitemaps and wireframes.
  • User interface design: Designed the user interface of the app using high-fidelity mockups and prototypes that followed the client’s brand guidelines and best practices.
  • User testing: Conducted usability testing with real users to validate the design solutions and gather feedback for improvement.

Solution

The solution was a mobile app that provided a convenient and efficient way for users to find and manage their properties. The app featured:

  • A simple and intuitive navigation that allowed users to easily access different sections and features of the app.
  • A powerful search and filter functionality that enabled users to quickly find and refine their results based on various criteria, such as location, price, size, type, amenities, etc.
  • A rich property page that displayed all the relevant information and images of the property, as well as options to contact the agent, schedule a viewing, save or share the listing, or view similar properties.

  • A personalized dashboard that showed users their saved properties, recent searches, notifications, and recommendations.
  • A helpful and informative blog section that provided users with useful tips and insights on buying, selling, renting, or investing in properties.
